Nice deck/patio area with a great view, decent service, good fish and chips and great beer specials. The parking "lot" across the street leaves much to be desired. They could really stand to do something about the parking situation because it's tedious trying to navigate that dirt lot filled with potholes, just to park your car. Park at your own risk.

I drink here at the tiki bar. This where it's at. Love the atmosphere. Reminds me of Great Gatsby. Drinks are a good price. Hidden. Ate there once, it was good.

This place is awesome! We went on a Sunday afternoon and had a great time! Prices are good and the service was fantastic! We'll be back!

Good food, fun atmosphere.. Always have a good time at the WLI! Knowing it's mainly bar food, I think it is way above average, chicken Greek salad is solid!

I LOVE to come here in the summer time. The deck and tiki bar are awesome and I think its super cool that people can pull their boats up here and hang out. Its pretty much the ultimate summer hang out. They have great bands that play and its always a good time. Food is pretty good too but service is usually slow and the last time we went the food took forever. If you want a fun summer hang out spot this is the place.

So less you know the area or are making an effort to go to this specific place, you must be lost to find this place. It is off the beaten path, it's an older place, on the lake tavern, jack of all trade places. It's been updated, and they have a great deck, on the north side of White Lake. It's really a neighborhood joint, if your neighborhood was four square miles. Ok, parking can be tough, coming up from M-59, and the traffic moves and the restaurant is at the bottom of a little hill. You come up on it quickly. There is parking in front of the place, but there is also a parking lot across the street. It's easier parking across the street, coming and going. Inside, has a dance floor, karaoke, dj and even small live bands. Tables surround the dance floor and a bar, with a screen patio and deck seating. There is also a dock for boats to come up and tie up, an outside bar, and hey, even a beach volleyball court. The menu is pretty large, dominated by burgers, pizzas and bar appetitizers. The pizzas are probably your best option, the BLT pizza was pretty good. The wait staff is young and they try hard. This is not a foodie destination, it's a travern. They have something going on almost every night. In the summer, it's a fun place to have a drink, and watch the actives on the lake, or the sun setting.

I used to come here with my parents as a child quite frequently. So much that I still remember what my mother and I ordered and that I used to find snails on the dock. I decided to give it a try after moving back to the area. I ordered a turkey reuben and my husband ordered a burger. We both enjoyed our meals very much, although the cole slaw had an overpowering onion flavor, which I am not a fan of. It was later for lunch, during the day and there were still a few tables filled. The waitress would get 3.5 stars for disappearing for about 10 minutes towards the end when we needed our check, but she was attentive otherwise. Eating out on the patio to enjoy the weather was a nice bonus.

Great small town feel! Love this bar in the summer. Nothing beats docking your boat and eating on the patio. The wait staff is super friendly and the food is wonderful ... The only downfall is the wait. The kitchen is too small to keep up with the large capacity of the resturaunt ... But if your in good company, grab a beer and enjoy the night ... Well worth it!

We have been here a few times, mostly during the winter for various snowmobiling things. The food is standard American bar food, pizza, sandwiches, burgers... Which is all just typical.... Not great but not awful. Unfortunately our last trip really helped us make up our mind about this place and we won't be going back. We stopped in for an early dinner after snowmobiling for about an hour with friends and kids (12 years old) and had really awful service. Our waitress was an older women and she literally walked past our table a dozen times and didn't even get our drinks. We ended up going to the bar to at least get something to drink. Back at our table we finally flagged down our waitress who ended up being as rude as we originally so we cashed out with absolutely not intention or desire to try and eat. One of our friends had on a pretty vibrant snowmobile jacket, or pretty untraditional jacket, and when we left someone made a comment about it. We talked about it when we left and I guess our waitress decided she didn't want to wait us on based in looks? She apparently made up her mind about "what type of people we are" before we even spoke to her. Well shame on white lake inn for hiring such staff and having cramp operating practices. If your not from around there or over 40 might not be the best place to grab a drink and dinner with friends. The funny thing is that we recently moved to the area. I guess were not "local enough" for this place.

A had dinner there on 7-12-14 with my wife and another couple after playing golf. The Pros: excellent ambiance on the water... great waitress (Jackie) and decent music playing from somebody's iPhone. Cons: Cheesy, previously frozen appetizers... burnt food... and no recourse for the burnt food which made for a very uneven dining experience (one couple got their food while the other couple waited another 20 minutes for their food). It's a Hole in the Wall joint on a lake; a nice place to drink and eat average food (But try the BLT Pizza. It's pretty good when they don't burn it.)

Great food, weather your coming in off the boat or driving there. They have good sandwiches haven't had anything else but everyone I have talked to said that the other food is good. We have been here a hand full of times and have never left unsatisfied.

In an area that is generally restaurant-challenged, this town is blessed to have the White Lake Inn. First, it reminds me of stopping in for dinner heading up north. And it's not just the view of the water, but the overall casual friendliness of the place. Second, let's talk about the food. If you can get to one of the outdoor barbeques in the summer, get the salmon. Whatever that grill master does, I've never had better salmon in my life. Friday fish-fry is wonderful. Nice job on the pizza. Really my third item is what makes this place so special, that outdoor patio on the lake in the summer, with boats pulling up and folks bellied up to the tiki bar - just the best. Take some friends and enjoy some dancing with live bands on Friday and Saturday nights.

Well it's got location, but that doesn't make up for the food. Server was friendly, and very attentive and if I stuck to the mantra "If you don't have anything nice to say, say nothing at all" - I would stop here. However, after spending $50 on 4 beers and low quality food I feel compelled to help my fellow traveler. It was obvious that nothing was fresh. Not only was it not fresh, but the presentation was like cafeteria food - condiments come out with lids on them, drinks come in plastic cups, etc.. I am far from a snob and I don't need white linens on the table tops, however when you are charging over $10 for fish and chips, I expect more than a fish stick from Gordon's Food Service. Again, the atmosphere on the lake is nice, and any parrot head would be right at home. I just hope they aren't hungry. Practically everything on the menu is fried, which, for a bar is typical. However, the prices are reflective of an "Inn", or nicer restaurant, which this place really could be if they cared to be. If you're looking for a lake-side setting to throw back some drinks, go for it. Just know if you get hungry ask for a side of Tums.

Great place to people watch, awesome view of the lake. Food is average. Good beer specials! I'll be hanging out a bit more there this summer.

Tried to recover the night at the nearby White Lake Inn after the Magic Stick in Detroit fucked me over earlier today with their time strife and pizza. I had a JB Dollar Stretcher coupon I'd bought where you get $40 of food (no drinks included) for $20. NOW I need something to help me forget the food at the White Lake Inn. *Sigh* It's not been a very exciting or satisfying night tonight at all. So I ordered the fried walleye. Opted for the french onion soup ($1.50 extra) and rice. The meal came with a (frozen?) vegetable mix of broccoli, squash, green beans and strips of red pepper, a wedge of lemon and tartar sauce in a Solo cup. The BF ordered the NY Strip with a Caesar salad ($1.50 extra) and fries. He got the same seasonal vegetables. You CAN get a baked potato as a side option with these meals, but ONLY after 4pm per the menu (strange). The french onion soup came with some nice melted cheese on the top, but it was SUPER INCREDIBLY SALTY. After I consumed the cheese, it became intolerable to finish off without that cheesy buffer. Apparently ALL the salt and seasoning that existed in the White Lake Inn kitchen tonight went into the french onion soup since everything else on our plates was shorted and required salting. I personally observed my BF salt his steak TWICE. He always orders his steak rare (such a sexy carnivore) and it did not come out to his particular liking...more like a medium rare. He said he's had $10 sirloins on special at Outback that tasted better. And salad, too. Caesar's are his go-to and the one he got at the WLI was actually pretty sizable, but still lacking. I had to salt, pepper, lemonize and tartar-up my walleye despite the fact that it was actually cooked pretty nicely. The white rice I got with it was pretty disgusting. It was wet, sticky and had no seasoning whatsoever. It also seemed like it was just slapped down on the plate, vs. nicely mounded, which made it look pretty unappetizing, too. We actually took doggy bags home of all the leftover rice, veggies and fries (bland and possibly the battered kind per my taste test) for our ACTUAL DOGS. We rarely eat dessert, but in order to meet our $40 non-alcoholic quota, we ordered the chocolate cake covered w/ ice cream and caramel sauce thingie ($4.99). The only other dessert option that I saw on the menu was cheesecake. If you feel possessed to do as we did, I would ask your server to have the kitchen double the ice cream and just throw the pre-fab (frozen?) cake part into the trash can. We left 80% of the cake portion of our dessert on the plate. Outside of that we ordered 3 Summer Shandy's (on tap), which came with a slice of lemon placed on the edge of the plastic frat cup. No real glasses here to the BF's disappointment. Also had a Sierra Nevada (on tap). Total bill was almost $60.00, and after the coupon was applied, the receipt reflected almost $20.00. It was truly about a $20.00 meal in actual taste and worth WITHOUT any discounts. In the end, we really paid out $40 plus tip in the back and front end. Our server, a tall blond, was nice and did her job well. The food came out in due time. The dance floor was empty on a Thursday night. Although they have a weird fixed prop of a big boat wheel on one end of the dance floor. It's an obtrusive-looking thing and seems to serve no relevant purpose. It was dark, rainy and a cool summer night outside so the deck part was not being utilized. Those in attendance clearly seemed to be locals. All in all, I still would not order higher priced food here. After 3 visits so far, this is definitely a cheap food, drinking, sports/water watching (and possibly dancing) type of place. If you stick to that directive, you wouldn't have TOTALLY pissed your money away here.
